When I think of our history and the literature being read and taught at schools I have always believed that we should take certain things away from our students access. I think we should get rid of any history that contributes to hate and division of our country. That being said I believe that slavery, how America came about by taking land from the Indians, etc. should be taken out of history books. I understand that it is a very bad thing that happened in both accounts but its in the past and nobody alive today has ever been a slave or have been beaten for their land. We have moved away from those backwards thinking times and evolved into a society that could be a great thing. If we could forget about the bad and focus on the now this country and the world would be a better place to live in. it doesn’t matter the color of someone’s skin.
